Historic Note:

Following his installation by his brother the Junior Lodge of Instruction resumed. There was also a Senior Lodge of Instruction and a Lodge of Rehearsal where Cyril Deal was Preceptor of all three. There were six initiations in the year and three Rev. Maurice Bayliss, Bros, Charles Ward and Anthony Cullen all remained members for over40 years . There was one joining member. The Festive Board was limited due to food rationing, but the Ladies Festival resumed at the George Hotel in Colchester.
