Historic Note:

Sir Charlers Du Cane, father of Junior Deacon had laid the First Stone at the Masonic Temple in Hobart and had been presented with a trowel to mark the occasion. His son kindly presented this to the lodge. It is on display in the bar room There were three initiations and one joining member.
