Historic Note:
The DPGM attended the Installation meeting. It was the year that the Duke of Kent was appointed Grand Master. W.Bro. John Deal as AGDC took part in the ceremony. The anniversary fund reached £542,651 which produced an income of over £25,000 per annum to the Royal College of Surgeons. The commemorative jewel adorns the Master’s collar and is referred to at all Installations. The Master attended the Especial meeting at the Albert Hall and at the next meeting reported back to the members There were two initiations in the year, one being  grandson of Richard Browning-Smith , Master in 1902.
