C.F.J. BAKER PAGStdB
- Initiated 1948
- Master 1961
Historic Note:
It had been the custom for many years to have a period of Masonic morning on the death of a Monarch, Grand Master or Provincial Grand Master which was then at the Installation of W.Bro Baker. This consisted in the wearing of a Black Rosette on the collar and in this case three months mourning on the death of PGM Canon Stafford-Morris. The Master was the landlord of the Angel Hotel which had been the home of Bro. John Turner, a Founder of the Lodge. There were only two initiations in the year and at one ceremony the Master unusally for Easteford raised Bro. Bryant, gave both the Traditional History and explanation of the Working Tools. The Lodge became a Patron of the Royal Masonic Hospital.
