Historic Note:
Dr.Grabham had only joined three years earlier and took over at a time of some controversy. The Ladies of Kelvedon wished to entertain the local Fire Brigade to dinner at the hall which caused some debate but initially had approval. However when a Pastmaster requested use of the Hall and its utensils it led to a resolution that no irregular loan of the dining hall would be permitted and this resolution was still in existence in 1990. There was a strong debate on moving the Installation month from March to February which was eventually agreed . It is not clear why but as a number of Pastmasters were farmers it may have been something to do with faming timetables. Otherwise W.Bro.Gragham had a harmonious year but only two initiates and one joining member.
