Historic note:

Dr. Salter was the dominant member of Easterford from its consecration in 1890 when he was Senior Warden to his death in 1932 at the age of 90, as well as a major contribution the the Province of Essex. As Treasurer he oversaw the building of the Easterford Temple and on his death he left a legacy which was used to add the Salter Room to the building.
