Historic Note:

There were three initiations and Peter Curtis only after being initiated two years earlier gave the second degree tracing board. There were other innovations in ceremonies which were to become part of the Easterford ritual. Sponsored-marathon running became popular and W. Bro. Yeatman raised £195 for the UN Emergency Fund for Children. Planning started for the 100th Anniversary. It was the start of the tradition of the Lodge of Instruction to give a demonstration of the third degree after the closing of the January meeting. Following adverse publicity about Freemasonry a video had been produced which was shown to members.
