Historic Note:

On his retirement as PGM Frederick Leistikow was elected an Honorary member. Robert Deal, the second son of John was initiated. The working tools were presented by his brother and Father John gave the address. The timing clock in the dining room was repaired so it only strikes at nine o’clock when the toast to absent brethren is given. The singing of “Abide with me” in the third degree had been established but frowned upon by Grand Lodge. One notable lecture was on the Masonic Trust for Boys and Girls by W,Bro. Col .Hind, the Secretary, and it was reported that nine Grand Officers were in attendance.
