Historical Note: 1st.February 1956 was the coldest day in Britain and the next day 12 brethren, all regular attenders were absent. The DPGM attended. The inclement weather led to a change in the Installation day to April and therefore the Master served for 14 months. In this period there were four initiations and one joining member One initiate was Robert Brice whose grandfather was a joining member at the time of consecration. Robert Brice was of ample proportion and at the Festive Board a much smaller steward spilled the soup, just saying it was part of the ceremony. Later in the year he was raised by the Master and officers. The minutes do not indicate how many! Bro Brice became a most active member The Easterford Lodge Benevolent Association was formed in the year on the recommendation of the Province. Reference is made to the Easterford Bowing Association.
